My mother moved into the Cotswolds Village in 1999 and was a resident here for almost 21 years. Initially she lived independently in a unit but sadly developed dementia and had to move into assisted living in an apartment in the Village.
She regarded the village as her ‘home’ and the residents and wonderful staff were her ‘family’. She so enjoyed her time in the club lounge, socialising with other residents, enjoying so many of the activities provided by the village staff. The meals provided were always delicious and nutritious.
When she was physically able, she also enjoyed outings and shopping using the services of the Village bus. The staff at the Cotswolds, many of whom have been at the village for a long time, were always so caring and attentive to not only my mother, but to all the residents. Nothing was ever too much trouble to assist with her care – particularly as she become less mobile and more reliant on assistance.
I would like to thank the Cotswolds Village staff for making my mother’s stay such a happy and memorable time in her later years.
